From the moment you step inside, the warm, inviting atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable dining experience that transports you straight to Thailand’s bustling street food markets and cozy family kitchens.

This gem specializes in a flavorful array of dishes that balance bold spices, herbaceous notes, and comforting textures. Notable highlights include the Mee Krob, a honey-coated crispy noodle dish infused with savory shrimp and tender chicken, delivering the perfect harmony of sweet and salty. For those craving something heartier, the Drunken Noodle stands out with its vibrant, spicy kick and chewy noodles intertwined with fresh vegetables and succulent meat, satisfying every craving.

Soups are an integral part of the menu here, with offerings like the Tom Yum Kai—a steaming, spicy, and sour chicken broth bursting with mushrooms and onions—and the creamy, coconut-infused Tom Kha Koong, featuring succulent shrimp that melts beautifully into the broth’s richness. These soups offer an invigorating warmth that perfectly prepares you for the rest of your meal.

Their curries are equally impressive, from the velvety Panang curry, rich with special chili paste and coconut milk, to the exotic Duck Curry with pineapple, delivering a delightful interplay of sweetness and spice that lingers long after the last bite. For those preferring lighter options, the Vegetable Tofu Curry offers a spicy yet comforting plant-based alternative.

Don’t miss the Fried Wonton and the creamy Cream Cheese Puff appetizer, both served with a perfectly balanced sweet and sour sauce that excites the palate with every bite. Round off your meal with the iconic Thai beverages like the cooling Thai Iced Coffee or the ever-popular Sweet Thai Tea, both delivering sweet, fragrant refreshment that complements the spicy, aromatic dishes.

Customers rave about the authenticity and quality of the food here. One visitor shared how the green curry “was smooth and coated the back of [their] throat,” a sensory testament to the richness and care in each recipe. Others highlight the generous portions and friendly, attentive staff who create a welcoming, cozy environment. With a full bar and convenient parking, Talay Thai combines practicality with an impeccable dining experience.

Your boy out here in the west coast, decide to take a few days off from the cold weather in the upper states in the east coast... I stumbled around this place (literally) while I was walking with a good buzz and somewhat empty stomach. I ordered the Thai green curry to see if this place was worthy of the Authentic Thai food... turns out... they are... the curry was smooth and it coated the back of the spoon just right. It had that suddle sweetness from the coconut and the right amount of spicy kick from the green peppers. The veggies were not over cooked and had that suddle snap and crunch, and when you paired it with the white rice it took me back to the hood I grew up with in Oakland to the Thai family that fed me this type of curry when me and say'ya got done playing outside. If the heavens permit.. I'll definitely hit this place back up.. I also got a beer with my order, but a cold canned coke will hit just the same... 10/10 will recommend

I went out to lunch here with a friend and it was honestly pretty amazing. A gem of the neighborhood / west LA area for sure. If you’ve ever been skeptical of Thai food or haven’t tried it before this is the best place to try! The pad Thai was beyond delicious and flavorful, 100% would recommend!! The owner was so kind as well and the prices were not bad at all and large portion sizes

Had drunken noodles for an early dinner and had a great experience here. Very clean, tasty food, and well-priced menu items. Plus parking is available at the back. Highly recommend visiting!

I'm not from around here but I was looking for something to eat after visiting UCLA. Found this Thai food place as I was walking around looking for a sports bar for the UFC fights.. This is authentic Thai food! The price is great. I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Yum Thum Seafood soup. The Chicken Pad Thai portion is very large. I was pleasantly surprised. I always finish my plate but this portion is very generous. I highly recommend it. Come hungry!

This place always has a table and the staff is always excited to see you come in to eat. They have a good price point. I’ve been here a few times and each time I walk away with a positive feeling. Don’t worry if there aren’t a lot of people dining in (there often aren’t, which is a shame), because it is not an indicator of the quality.
